As GizmoMD is a side project in addition to a full-time job, I have chosen to utilize AI to help with the content.
GizmoMD is completely curated, vetted, and managed completely by me. I hand-select each story and read it and the journal abstract. I then feed the source article into an AI engine and carefully examine the generated summary for accuracy, readability, and appropriate tone, and I often have the AI engine modify and refine the summary several times. I typically use an image from the source article or scholarly paper, but if one isn’t available, I will have an AI engine generate a simple illustration for aesthetic purposes.
